IN ENGLISH (XI) ANIMALS (Por toda la clase)



El otro día estuvimos en clase de inglés e imaginamos, si nos reencarnásemos en otra vida, qué animal nos gustaría ser. Al volver a nuestro aula contamos la anécdota a nuestro maestro y nos propuso que dijésemos los animales, pero en inglés. Aquí tenéis el listado de reencarnaciones en animales:

IN ENGLISH (X): HALLOWEEN (By 2º ESO)



The children wich began to write in this blog are now studying in the 2º ESO level. They come back to our blog to show us a “nice” song. Do you like it?

IN ENGLISH (IX): WEATHER FORECAST (Por 2º ESO)



José Alberto:

The weather's cold and the evenings are dark. There's not much you can do to avoid the winter gloom, unless you jet off to sunnier climes.

Juan:

Winters are usually mild, warm and dry, with temperatures ranging from 14-23°C on the Costas. Occasionally there will be severe weather, with gales and heavy rain, as there were in early November 2001.

Virginia:

The Algarve and the island of Madeira are popular Portuguese destinations all year round. Temperatures in the Algarve region range from 15-19°C. Madeira has much wetter winters, with temperatures of 18-22°C.

Antonio Martínez:

The Mediterranean coast enjoys six hours of sunshine per day with temperatures ranging from 10-15°C.

Emilia:

Auckland, New Zeeland. In Auckland the climate is almost subtropical with very mild winters and warm, rather humid summers. Daily maximum temperatures range from 13 grades centigrade in July to 23 grades centigrade in January/February. The wettest months are May to August.

Antonio López:

Temperatures in Florida stay within the 18-26°C range, with six hours of sunshine. This area is prone to very changeable weather, but by November, the hurricanes are petering out.

Estefanía:

In Thailand, temperatures stay at 30-34°C all year round. Equatorial Malaysia has hot and wet weather all year round, with temperatures in the 30s°C.

The Indonesian islands, like Bali, have a similar climate to Malaysia. It stays hot and humid all year round, with temperatures averaging out at 29-31°C.

Antonio Vargas:

Cyprus. Temperatures range from 16-23°C, and although winters are usually mild and sunny, the island can experience its heaviest rainfalls at this time.

Lucía:

Majorca, Menorca and Ibiza enjoy six hours of sunshine in the winter and temperatures of 14-18°C. Occasionally the Mistral wind brings severe weather to their shores.

IN ENGLISH (VIII): THE POP STAR (Por el alumnado de 5º)






1.- Ricky can't sing or dance now. He's tired.
Yes! I´m tired!

2.- But I'm his dance teacher. I can teach you.

3.- Ok. Teach me.

4.- First, put your hands on your head. Then, stand on one foot.
This is easy!
And then...

5.- ...Go in the cupboard!

6.- Wel done, Jen!
Let me out!
No!

7.- Here, listen to the TV.
Maybe he doesn´t like pop music now!

8.-In the cafe.
Listen to this. Ricky Partrigde gets up at 12 o´clock every day.

9.- And he runs every afternoon.
Er... Boss?

10.- Ricky´s running now.
What? On TV?

11.- No, in the street! He´s outside, and the girl is with him.
Quick!

12.- Where are we?
We´re in the middle of London. We´re near the river.

13.- We need the police. Can you see a telephone box?
No I can´t.

14.- But I can see the criminals. They´re coming this way!

EL LINCE IBÉRICO: EN ESPAÑOL Y EN INGLÉS (Por Bernardo)

EL LINCE IBÉRICO

El lince es uno de los animales más extraños y maravillosos. Está en peligro de extinción pero los tienen en la Sierra Morena donde están a salvo y crían a sus crías. Ahí tienen alimento de sobra. Se alimenta de conejos y no los matan los cazadores ni le destrozan su hábitat. En Sierra Morena están libres, pueden desplazarse libremente y no los tienen encerrados.

El lince se parece a un gato pero no lo es porque no come ratones. Corre mucho y vive por lo menos 12 años. El lince sabe nadar y oye muy bien pero lo que mejor se le da es ver por la noche. Por eso no se tropieza en la oscuridad.


STRANGE AND WONDERFUL ANIMALS

This is a lince ibérico. It lives in the wood of Andalucia. It lives for about 15 years. A lince can running long distances and can see well. It eats meat but it must like is rabbits. It is the solitary animal. The lince size is 84 cm aprox and its weight 11 kg. The lince is in danger of extinction.
